Do you find yourself surrounded by piles of paper with no dedicated office space? Would you like to be able to work from anywhere but you’re always missing something? Are you constantly looking for pens and your planner? I have a solution for you! An office in a bag is a great way to keep everything together and take it with you when you’re on the go.
What should go in an Office in a Bag?
What you put in your bag will be determined by what you need for your business. Start with a great bag first. I have a Thirty-One Gifts Go-To Tote (no longer available but check ebay!). I also have a Zip-Top Organizing Utility Tote with a Fold N File in the inside. I’m not a Thirty-One consultant, I just really love their products.
The bag you choose should have plenty of room and pockets OR you can use zippered pouches. It should be somewhat compact and be comfortable to carry. Use a tote or a backpack, whatever works for you! Be sure to include basic office supplies and your ipad or laptop if you need it.
Here’s what’s in my office in a bag:
Gray TUL Notebook (blog planner)
Teal TUL Notebook (project & task lists)
Accordion File (link is for a similar version)
All of my planning essentials store nicely in the zipper pouch.
My office in a bag has evolved over the last few years. I am currently using a gray backpack, and I love it! It’s large enough to fit my 17″ laptop, a must! I’ve also included a few more of my favorite things below.

I love my office in a bag! I hope you will give it a try. It will make your life so much easier to have everything you need in one place. If you’re in direct sales, this is a great place to keep all of your party paperwork. Throw your wallet in and save yourself from carrying two bags.
If you don’t work from home, this can work for you too! We all have bills and paperwork to keep up with!
