Are you a mom who wants to earn money from home? We could all use a little extra here and there, especially if you are trying to get out of debt.
A few months ago I was talking to a friend about ways to make some extra cash. She mentioned to me that she wasn’t sure that she wanted to start a business yet. She just wanted to make the grocery money. If she could just ease the burden of the grocery expenses, it would be a big blessing to her family.
Many moms find themselves in the same situation. The extra cash could fund private school tuition, debt payoff, a vacation or just buy groceries.
Are there real ways to make money from home?
Yes! And I am not talking about direct sales, though that is an option. There are plenty of rewards to get and things to sell online without having to be salesy. If you are an introvert like me, online sales and rewards program are the way to go.
How can I make money as a stay at home mom?
Earn cash back on your everyday purchases.
There are lots of programs out there that give cash back or points for purchases.
Rakuten– get cash back when you shop through their website. Add the Chrome extension so you don’t forget about them. It pops open on websites that qualify. They also run promotions for double rewards.
I have used them for all kinds of purchases from places like Etsy, Amazon, Ebay, Walmart Grocery Pickup, BlueHost Web Hosting, and even my Ancestry DNA test. Without the Chrome extension, I would not have known about these opportunities. You get your reward in the form of a check or a PayPal deposit.
It is a totally legit way to make money on things you were going to buy anyway.
Ibotta– Use this app to earn cash from your grocery store purchases include food items you’ll rarely find coupons for like fresh produce. Just scan through the offers and choose the ones you want to redeem. Snap a photo of your receipt and you’re done!
Fetch Rewards– This app is kind like Ibotta, but the difference is that you can earn points for every receipt, no matter what you buy. If you have to purchase something from the list of brands that they are affiliated with, you get extra points. The points can be redeemed for retail or restaurants OR for Visa or Mastercard gift cards too. This is an easy way to fund date nights or reduce the expense of vacation.
Pampers Rewards– Enter the product code found on each pack of Pampers diapers or wipes you buy and earn points. Cash those points in for neat toys and other perks. I used this program when my oldest daughter was born and I got several neat toys and prizes.
Make money by decluttering your home.
Making money from your cell phone is super easy these days. One of the easiest ways to do that is to declutter your home. Sell your clothes, baby toys, extra furniture, etc. online without the hassle of a garage sale. There are more apps than what I have listed but this will get you started.
Ebay– It is no secret that I love ebay. My reselling business is based heavily on ebay. You do not have to make a business out of it to sell on ebay. It is a great way to sell extra things that you do not need. You can read all about that here.
Mercari– This app is a great place to sell things in lots of different categories. Shipping much easier to conquer than ebay. Mercari also allows you to see sold listings. This makes it easier to price your items.
Poshmark– Poshmark is very new to me but I know many people who are making great money selling there. It is an app based platform to sell clothing, shoes, accessories, and home goods. It’s a very social site so be prepared to interact.
Facebook Marketplace– This is the most happening local site in my area. I can post an item for sale, plus add it to any other sale groups that I am on at the same time. All of the messages about that item can all be managed from the marketplace section of the Facebook app. Be sure to meet in a safe public place and enjoy that extra cash.
Are there ways to earn money from home without any investment?
Yes! Besides earning cash from your purchases and selling your clutter, you can also refer your friends to these sites. Most of the websites mentioned above have a referral program.
Share your referral links with friends and family in an email or on social media.
