The 6 Best Tools for More Consistent Sales (And How to Use Them)

Alright, let’s talk about making consistent sales in your online business. We all know it can take forever if you’re not using the right tools, and let’s be real—who has time for that? If you’re tired of spinning your wheels and ready to fast-track your progress, I’ve got you. Today, I’m sharing my secret weapons—the six tools that helped me level up my online business sales in no time. And trust me, they’re about to change the game for you too.

Tool #1: Google Calendar

Why It’s a Game-Changer: I used to spend way too much time trying to figure out my content calendar and how that matched up with everything else I needed to do, and it was getting me nowhere. But once I started using Google Calendar, it was like everything just clicked. Think of this tool as your fast pass to keeping everything in one place and avoiding conflicting appointments.

How to Use It: Start by making an individual calendar for yourself and your family. I also make one for social media and other content. My husband has a calendar for doctor’s appointments. He’s not an electronic calendar person, but it helps me keep up with what he’s doing. I also have one for homeschool hours and for homeschool activities.

Each calendar is assigned a color, and then when I’m writing down what we’re doing on my planner or my wall calendar, it’s easy to see what appointments belong to whom.

Perks of using Google Calendar:

  • each calendar can be color-coded
  • can be used for time blocking, helpful to see how to fit everything in the week
  • keeps a booking software from booking appointments with clients during times that you’ll be busy if your software checks for schedule conflicts
  • allows you to share calendars with family members, team members, or customers (membership perks, office hours, group coaching, etc.)

You’ll be amazed at how much faster things move when you set true boundaries with your time by having a clear picture of what your week should look like.

Tool #2: TidyCal

Why It’s a Must-Have: If you’re serious about speeding up your booking process, TidyCal is non-negotiable. It cuts down the time you spend going back and forth with clients on availabilities and your schedules and lets you focus on what actually matters—getting results. Each calendar is easily linked to a sales page, course or coaching platform, etc.

Unlike other booking software, TidyCal is a one-time purchase. There are no monthly subscription fees.

It also allows you to connect Google Calendar to check for schedule conflicts and collect payments.

If you regularly set up meetings with team members or other business contacts, it is so easy to set up a link to send to them. This way meetings can be scheduled quickly.

How to Use It: I love using it for discovery and coaching calls.

Here’s how you can get started with TidyCal:

  • Connect your Google Calendar account
  • Connect any calendars that are relevant to your business
  • Create events on your calendar for your off hours, regular business or home-related tasks, etc. For me, this is my homeschooling time and activities because those are regular tasks.
  • Set time parameters for each day
  • Create types of appointments (discovery calls, coaching, 30-minute calls, 60-minute calls, etc.)
  • Set up payments if that is desired

Tool #3: Pirate Ship

Why It’s Essential: Let’s just say Pirate Ship has saved me from countless headaches. When I was struggling with finding an affordable shipping platform, this tool made everything so much easier. Now, I can’t imagine shipping my sold items without it.

The best part is that Pirate Ship is free! It integrates with many ecommerce platforms like Ebay, Etsy, Shopify, Big Cartel, WooCommerce, and more. You can also purchase single labels or upload a spreadsheet and print from that.

It allows you to purchase shipping at commercial rates, and use a flat rate international shipping that will allow you to ship internationally cheaply and efficiently. Stop missing out on international sales. Pirate Ship’s Simple Export Rate will solve your international shipping headaches.

How to Use It: It’s all about shipping your orders out quickly and easily.

Here’s how to make it work for you:

  • Create a free account.
  • Message their chat bot and ask them to add Simple Export Rate, if you want to ship internationally. Otherwise, it won’t be available.
  • Connect your ecommerce platform(s) if applicable.

Tool #4: Payhip

Why It’s a Time-Saver: You know how some tasks like setting up a place to sell your course or digital product just drag on forever? Payhip makes sure that doesn’t happen. It’s my go-to for getting course creation or getting digital products ready to sell in half the time.

Finding the best place to host your course or digital product can be so overwhelming! Believe me, I’ve tried all the platforms, and if I haven’t tried it, I’ve researched it.

I’ve used platforms that required me to make every single page you see on your journey as a buyer (sales page, course page, checkout page, cart page, etc.). Ain’t nobody got time for that!

Sure, if that’s really important to you and you love to design webpages, that’s probably the route that you want to go. But if that sounds super tedious to you, Payhip is the way to go.

For many of us, getting something posted for sale is the hardest part. It doesn’t need to take us months to figure that platform out. Payhip is super easy to use, has a truly FREE plan, and integrates with Mailerlite, my email platform of choice. Email integration is super important, and Payhip and Mailerlite can work together without a third-party service like Zapier.

How to Use It: Here’s my favorite way to get started with using this tool:

  • Create your free account
  • Choose a product type (course, digital product, coaching, membership, etc.)
  • Start creating!

Tool #5: Mailerlite

Why It’s a Must for Email Newsletters: Mailerlite took my newsletter from ‘meh’ to ‘wow’ almost overnight. It’s like having a graphic designer when you need to get stuff done. You can very easily create a beautiful interesting newsletter with their templates and content blocks.

Create an impressive newsletter easily with Mailerlite! If your brand is visual, you’ll appreciate it even more. And they have a truly free plan as well.

How to Use It: Here’s how I use it to maximize my time and results:

  • Create a newsletter header in Canva
  • Create a template or a general outline of your weekly newsletter format
  • Let your creativity be your guide

Tool #6: Trello

Why It’s a Total Game-Changer: Last but definitely not least, Trello is the tool that took me from stuck to thriving. It helps me stay organized, focused, and on track. If you’re not using this yet, what are you waiting for?

Trello is a great place to manage clients, workflows, team members and work tasks. Efficiency is the key to more consistent sales, and Trello can help with that.

How to Use It: Start by [specific task]. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it.

Here’s how to get started:

  • Create your free account, if you don’t already have one.
  • Decide how you’ll use it.
  • Create a board for each type of task.
  • Decide on a clear labeling method so that you don’t lose track of your projects.
  • Add the calendar power-up.
